Egg, Avocado & Bacon Burger

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1½ lb Certified Angus Beef® ground chuck
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1-2 rashers Bacon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 Meijer Gourmet Grillers Honey Hamburger Buns

Directions:

1.     Prepare bacon to desired doneness, set aside.

2.     Slice avocado, set aside.

3.     Separate beef into 4 patties; salt and pepper to taste.

4.     Pan sear or grill patties 4-5 minutes on one side, flip and continue to cook another 4-5 minutes until the patty reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.

5.     Brush cut sides of buns with butter and pan sear or grill to golden brown.

6.     Begin frying egg.

7.     Layer cooked burger on bun with freshly sliced avocado, prepared bacon, and fried egg when it reaches desired doneness.    

Classic Burger

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1½ lb Certified Angus Beef® ground chuck
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Sliced Sargento Colby Jack cheese
  • Toppings of your choice
  • 4 Meijer Gourmet Grillers Sesame Seed Hamburger Buns

Directions:

1.     Separate beef into 4 patties; salt and pepper to taste.

2.     Pan sear or grill patties 4-5 minutes on one side, flip and top each with a slice or three of Colby Jack and continue to cook another 4-5 minutes until the patty reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.

3.     Brush cut sides of buns with butter and pan sear or grill to golden brown.

French Onion Burger

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1½ lb Certified Angus Beef® ground beef, 80% lean
  • 3-4 Tbsp Butter, divided
  • 2 Medium yellow onions, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp Brandy or white wine
  • ½ cup Chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 Tbsp Finely minced shallot
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 4 slices Sargento provolone cheese
  • 4 Meijer Gourmet Grillers Brioche Hamburger Buns
  • 1-2 Tbsp Dijon mustard

Directions:

1.     Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over low heat; add onions. Simmer 30-45 minutes to caramelize and develop a deep golden color, adding small amounts of water as necessary to prevent burning. Add brandy, simmer and stir until alcohol has cooked off and the flavors combine, 3-5 minutes; set onions aside and keep warm.

2.     In a medium mixing bowl, hand blend thyme and shallots with the ground beef, form into four patties and season both sides with salt and pepper. Refrigerate 10-15 minutes.

3.     Brush cut sides of buns with butter and pan sear or grill to golden brown.

4.     Pan sear or grill burgers 4-5 minutes on one side, flip and top each with caramelized onions and provolone cheese. Continue to cook another 4-5 minutes until the patty reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.    

Mushroom Cheddar Burger

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1½ lb Certified Angus Beef® ground chuck
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 Portabella mushrooms
  • ½ cup Lea & Perrins® Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Chopped parsley
  • 4 slices Sargento Cheddar cheese
  • ½ Red onion, sliced
  • 4 Meijer Gourmet Grillers Onion & Poppy Seed Hamburger Buns

Directions:

1.     Marinate mushrooms for 30 minutes in Worcestershire sauce (reserving 1 tablespoon).

2.     Combine mayonnaise, remaining Worcestershire, mustard, parsley, and ½ teaspoon pepper.

3.     Remove mushrooms from marinade (discard unused marinade) and grill; slice mushrooms.

4.     Form ground chuck into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper and grill. Just before desired doneness is reached (recommended 160°F internal temperature), top burgers with cheese and grill until cheese melts.

5.     Generously spread bun with flavored mayonnaise, top with burgers, red onion, mushrooms and bacon.    

Bison Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1½ lb Ground bison
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Better-for-you toppings of your choice, such as baby spinach and tomato
  • 4 Meijer Gourmet Griller Corn Dusted Kaiser Hamburger Buns

Directions:

1.     Separate bison into 4 patties; salt and pepper to taste.

2.     Pan sear or grill patties 2-4 minutes on one side, flip and continue to cook another 2-4 minutes until the patty reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.
IMPORTANT: Bison cooks a bit faster than beef. Don't overcook!

3.     Brush cut sides of buns with butter and pan sear or grill to golden brown.

4.    Top cooked burgers on buns with all the better-for-you toppings you like!
