I needed a nightstand with a smaller footprint so I could rearrange my bedroom furniture and this one fit the bill. Could see tiny bubbles (not raised) in the paint and disappointed to find the wood just happened to have a natural "shave" out of it on the edge nearest the knob for the door. All edges are 90 degree angles except the edge of the door! (If the "shave" was elsewhere it wouldn't be so bad.) Struggled to attach magnetic door close as screws were not long enough to hold it in place; finally resorted to using my own longer screws to get it to grab into the wood sufficiently. All in all this would be fine for a knock-about accent piece but not as a primary piece in a master bedroom.
