Wii Fit with Balance Board for Nintendo Wii
Limit 2 per household. The hit combination of Wii Sports and the Wii Remote brought golf swings and tennis serves into people's homes. Now Nintendo turns the living room into a fitness center for the whole family with Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. Family members will have fun getting a "core" workout, and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu. Lean to block soccer balls, swivel hips to power hoop twirls or balance to hold the perfect yoga pose. As users stand on the Wii Balance Board, included with Wii Fit, their body's overall balance is tied to the game in a way they've never experienced before. Wii Fit also uses the Wii Balance Board for daily tests such as BMI (Body Mass Index) and Wii Fit Age. Wii Fit includes more than 40 types of training activities designed to appeal to all members of a household. Training falls into 4 fitness categories: aerobic exercise, muscle conditioning, yoga poses, and balance games.

Ordered two of these before Christmas-one for myself and one for my daughter and her family. Had a great time during the holidays watching everyone try to beat each other's scores. Some weren't too happy with their age analysis, but it just made them try harder. I like how the game makes remarks when it has been a while between play time and also ask you about other people that have signed up and why they haven't played in a while! Makes being fit lots of fun!

For as expensive as this game was, I don't play it enough to recommend it to someone else. Most of the games are really short, the yoga poses are impractical because you're confined to the board, as well as the muscle toning feature. The cardio games don't really give you too much of a workout; I don't consider swiveling my hips around much of an aerobic activity, and the wii board isn't tall enough for the step games to get your heart rate up. The balance games are fun, but that's about it. If you want to get in shape a jump rope would probably have more success and is less expensive.

Comments about Wii Fit with Balance Board for Nintendo Wii:

I call this as an investment because it'll give results only after a while. You need to be disciplined in your workouts. You need to be consistent and have a game plan. I liked wii fit because of it's ease of use and various exercises offered.

Nice thing to have, good fun especially with a lot of players. However easy to forget in a corner and not use for a while.
Love the winter sport game with it.

Comments about Wii Fit with Balance Board for Nintendo Wii:

The Wii Fit won't help you train for a marathon, or prepare for a body building competition, but it will get you off the couch 2-3 minutes at a time. If you are setting your goals for weight loss, it may be best not to depend entirely on the Wii to get your heart rate going, but this will certainly be a valuable tool on those days when a time piggy bank makes you feel more ambitious.

Comments about Wii Fit with Balance Board for Nintendo Wii:

I really like my wii fit board and the game itself is pretty decent too. A lot of the balance games are really fun and you hardly know you are working out. The dancing in aerobics is reminiscent of DDR even if nothing can be as cool as DDR! The wii fit board is also great to invest in because it can be used with other games such as the EA Sports Active game which I also highly recommend!
