I bought a 65 Qt cooler that was the same size as the ice chest I had been using for several years. That was wrong as this cooler worked so well I should have bought the next size smaller. This cooler/freezer has been down to La Paz the hard way[four wheel drive roads] twice now with out so much as a whimper it is the best thing I have invested in ever. It will freeze 2 cases of water in less than 8 hours. You really do have to watch the setting as it gets way to cool fast. My only problem is that when the power is removed it goes back to the preset setting which is below zero. So you have to keep the power on or reset it every time. It will eat up a blue top Optima in about two days. Meanwhile freezing everything unless you set it to a higher setting.
What elese can I say it is rugged, works very well and is much liked by my team mates as I always have cold water and drinks available.

Can't stop raving about thses Whytner freezers. I got a 45quart and my brother got a 85 quart. It's a permanent fixture in our truck. It's been through some rough terrain and it holds up solidly. Well built and rugged. The flash freeze button is great for getting stuff cold fast. Comparatively a steal and it works better than expected. Top marks on this.
