I was looking for a heater when I came across this product. More expensive than your standard ceramic or oil heater, but an incredible value if you need a humidifier as well. I honestly hate the way heaters give you a really dry throat when you leave it on overnight. This is clearly the solution. It has a snazzy built-in humidifier that is able keep a space at a set humidity level. Love having the remote control so I don't need to get out of bed to adjust anything. I'm still pleasantly pleased by the price compared to what you can get out of it.

Great product but it started making a loud noise after less than one month of use. It was quiet before. I'm not sure what happened but didn't want to risk getting a new one shipped and having the same thing happen. It could have been the hose hitting the fan inside. It cooled our room off substantially and heated it well, but the noise was what made us return it. It probably could have been remedied though and just didn't want to deal with it. Thanks!

    I tried this to cool a small bedroom the our air doesnt reach. The lowest the temp would get to was 74 and that was when we continually put ice into it. This unit works more like a fan than a cooler. We didn't try the heat which I'm sure that works okay.
    If you are trying to find something that cools a small room down do not purchase this item. Plus if you get it shipped to your house for free they will not pay to ship it back. It cost us 58 dollars to ship it back.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          Tried 2 machines. First one didn't work at all. Second one was working great and after about 3 weeks the sound got real loud so something went wrong an had to take it back.

                    I read many reviews about the product before purchasing. Things were said like: "It doesn't cool well" and "it is too loud." I thought that it would be a perfect supplement to my AC set at 73 at night and 78 during the day (summer in Texas) since apparently it wouldn't be amazing at cooling. I also thought the noise wouldn't bother me, and it was a little noisy, but not too bad at first.....BUT let me be very clear! The Whynter HAC100S 5-in-1 Air Cooler/Fan/Air Purifier/Humidifier/Heater a poorly engineered device and does not live up to it's name...or much else.

                    -It did not cool my 150 sq foot room at all (yes I am aware of the laws of thermodynamics and air flow so please...no comment)

                    -(Drum roll) For all practical purposes, it broke after 2 weeks of use. All of a sudden it started to make an almost deafening sound and would not stop. I turned it off and tried it again later. Still no luck.

                    I would not let anyone I know purchase this air cooler.

                    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
