Comments about TomTom VIA 1405TM GPS Navigator:

I purchased my TomTom Via 1405 August, 2011.

Saturday 3/31 I was traveling to Lansing, Michigan. I shut the device off (to conserve battery) after getting on the highway and when I came close to Lansing turned the device back on.I was very disappointed and angry when the device would not connect to the satellite and came up with a message stating "waiting for a valid GPS signal". I was both late and lost for a very important meeting because of this product.

I have followed both email and over phone advice from tomtom support, none of this worked. I was told my gps would be replaced with a new model. Today, I called tomtom support and they refused to replace my dysfunctional device.

I am aware of the current satellite issues. I have also been made aware by customer support that only some tomtoms are not working.

I would like to emphasize my disappointment in this product as well as customer service.

I would not recommend this device to any prospective customers.
