I bought this to use as a coffee roaster and love it. So easy to do and the end result is awesome tasting coffee. I love the on/off switch which is uncommon on other air poppers but a great feature to have. The only negative is that the cover overheats quickly and starts to melt! But that could be due to me using it too soon after a batch.

It does leave a large amount of popcorn unpopped. I have read the instructions on the popcorn and it suggest running the popper for 2 minutes before adding the popcorn. I have not tried this yet. I REALLY like the switch, giving you the advantage of turning it on/off without unplugging.

Air-popped popcorn is so much healthier and this popper makes it easy. We use it at least once a week.

My sister's old machine sparked when it was being plugged in or unplugged, which is why she wanted one with an on/off switch. She said that some kernels were unpopped, but basically she was very happy with it, and happy not be be concerned when plugging it in.

Our family loves popcorn. My ten-year-old has taken over the popping duty- he thought air pop was new! The machine does get hot so supervision and caution are required. We prefer buttered popcorn, but a healthier-low calorie option is to 'spritz' the popcorn lightly with water and shake on your favorite flavor topping. This method allows the flavor to stick to the popcorn instead of falling to the bottom of your bowl.

Our kids like popcorn different ways, some like it saltier, more butter, and we like to use olive oil for a healthier "fat" flavor. You do away with the unhealthy popcorn and it really doesn't take much more time to make...does bigger batches when have company and need a lot...but the best thing is it is much more healthy than the additives they put in microwave popcorn. We could never go back to that kind...doesn't taste REAL.
