I ordered these with my son-in-law in mind. He loves to take the family sledding, ice skating and to parades during the winter. The flip-top straw feature makes for easy sipping for the kids. I wish I would have ordered two sets so that they would each have their own. The only concern that I have is that you can not tell how hot the beverage is until you take the first sip.

1st time I used it, I layed it down in a shopping bag with some coffee in it. NOT realizing the vent hole was NOT sealed when the flip straw was shut. It leaked coffee all over everything in my shopping bag. If you only knock it over then upright it, you will be safe. Just don't leave it on it's side. It WILL leak.

I purchased these to use in place of plastic water bottles. They are a little too large at the base to fit properly in my husband's car cup holder, but he really likes them and uses them anyway.

    Made great, great size. Terrible straw - you have to suck very hard (and I'm a good sucker) and little liquids come out as you get almost all air and bubbles. Something must be wrong with the plastic pieces that attach to the straw. Very irritating. I was very excited about the price and now don't know if I will ever use them. People sitting around you can hear you sucking air!

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        Heavy duty product. Only downside, we didn't realize how big it was. We were expecting something smaller we could send in the kids backpacks. Won't work for that - but we love taking it in the car and on walks!

          I am giving these as a gift with no time to return them, but one came scuffed on the blue rubber on top- opened and smelled new and was not used, must of happened in warehouse or something- would not order again
