This unit had very good assembly directions. But the 2003 version was more sufficient by way of capacity. In particular, the top shelf of the '03 model had about 4 more inches of depth than the current model and my printer fit very well. With this model I had to remove the back brace of the top shelf in order to accommodate my printer's size. [...]. What I like about the current design is the PC monitor sits on a level desktop and is much easier to keep clean. It was kind of sad getting rid of the '03 desk. It survived Hurricane Katrina's storm surge. I put it out near the sidewalk and someone scooped it up within 15 minutes of it being there! He planned on using it in his "manroom" and was very glad he found it. It's just something about the design that just sets this unit apart from the others. Food for thought: If you could make one like this with REAL wood it would command and definitely get a higher price. Heck, I'd buy it right now!!!

I have had this model desk since 2003. It survived Hurricane Katrina's storm surge. I can't find another model that's as accommodating than this and at such a great price. This is definitely a good buy for anyone who is not looking for a high-end pricey desk.

This is the second similar unit I have purchased. One is in my home office and the other is in my dinning area.
They both look good and as they belong where placed.
Screws in keyboard shelf tend to loosen up frequently. More draw space would be nice, with removably divider.
