I'm no fan of this type furniture since I've had them peel, delaminate and be very unsatisfactory. However,this one came with pretty good pictorials for assembly and all the parts were numbered. Assembly took hours, but all fit well. Nearly all the parts were completely vinyl wrapped without the usual cut edges that would start the vinyl peeling. The work surface is glass, so the major wear area is very durable. Some similar desks don't have glass tops; but the lower desktop is a huge storage area and you can see what's there. I like it better than I thought I would. I liked the color and style even better in person than the pictures online. The drawers have metal roller slides and worked superbly the first time without adjustments. Assembly does require a drill since 4 of the holes for the drawer slide mounting screws were not drilled. Otherwise, everything fit and was very accurate. Some holes require a sharp knife to clear the vinyl covering for easy assembly.[...] Cons, my mid-tower computer case will not fit under the desk due to the shelf across the back, so it wound up on top. The foot space on this smallish desk is too limited for a computer under there anyway. I'm going to make a shelf for the keyboard and mouse to raise them slightly above the level of the lower shelf and so they can slide out a few inches for better ergonomics.Bottom line: A lot to like at a low price.

I am in sales and often work from home so I consider this my home office desk. I live in a small apartment and this desk fit perfectly in the corner of my living room. Because the top pane is glass it doesn't appear too large/obnoxious and has a professional, clean and modern look. I was able to easily fit my three-in-one printer/fax/scanner, laptop with mouse pad/mouse, ipod stereo dock and other random items on the top surface. The wooden shelf underneath the glass pane is excellent for storing extra printer paper or displaying objects to make the desk your own. It also helps that you can see these things through the glass pane if you are sitting at the desk. The real reason I chose this desk was because of the filing cabinet. I wanted to organize all my files/receipts and with limited space, did not want to purchase a separate file cabinet system. This is very convenient since it looks like a regular drawer from the outside and is attached directly to the desk. Probably not the best if you have tons of files since it only offers one drawer to store everything but works for me. Also plenty of leg room underneath the desk so I used some of it to store my laptop bag, blank CDs, and other extras to keep out of plain sight. Overall I am very happy with this desk and it was a lot more affordable than others that did not have a file cabinet attached.
