Little conductors can drive this train along the tracks, or use it off the tracks as a foot-to-floor ride-on. This Talking Train has forward and reverse gears, a 19' track, electronic sounds, and an auto brake system. Fun noises add to the adventure, with phrases like "All aboard!" and "Stop!", and sounds like the "ting-ting-ting" of the railroad crossing sign, the rumbling engine, and a whistle blowing.

        This was the perfect 1st birthday gift for our grandson! We ordered extra track to make a figure eight. The first day he rode around and just looked at us as he'd go by. Day two he'd raise his hand - he's now yelling with the conductor, making train whistle noises and hollering every time he has to get off! But, we need to teach him how to get off! He waits until he reaches a door frame and lunges for it with his hands! Great gift! Wish we'd had one for our children!

          Works fine as long as you keep it on the track. Does not work well off the track due to very stiff stearing mechanism. Mine doesn't go into reverse either. Also agree with other reviews about the inconvenient location of the battery, have to unscrew seat. Try the Peg Perego trains, much more versatile to use.

                This product is great my one year old son loves it and enjoys it so much, it was easy to assembly we took out the battery and charged it for a whole day before giving it to him it was his gift and all his friends and cousins loved it they were all in line to take a turn. Great gift and he won't get off it wakes up and goes straight to the train i will recommend this to everyone. Thanks stay at home mom..

                Kind of a pain to charge the battery. You have to unscrew the lid of the seat and charge it for 18 hours each time. But the charge does last a long time. Wish it came with better instructions.
