I love everything about it except the string why dont you add a steel cutter head one 25.00 improvement moves it from I wouldnt consider buying another to one of the helpful tool I own! does swisher own a lot os stock in the trimming line company please try to think of the customer a little better/ would not recommend as is being sold today/ would deeply recommend if changed to a good long lasting head get rid ,of the line..

There really is nothing I can say good about this trimmer. It is difficult to start even with the low compression engine. It bogs in 2 foot tall orchard grass and when it dies, it floods. It is clumsy on hills and worse yet when pushing up hill, digs into the dirt on the uphill side unless you ignore the directions and lift the front end of the machine. The line itself is fairly short lived and the method of attachment, while relatively easy, is not very secure. With all the problems, an area that takes me about 1 hour to trim with a standard string trimmer could not be finished in an hour and 15 minutes. I finally had to use the string trimmer to finish the job the Swisher couldn't. returned the machine to the store and got my money back. In my opinion, unless you have a flat area with no serious brush or grasses, this is a waste of time and money.

Replacing string is a nightmare. It takes three hands to thread . Needs to have a spool and bump system to add a new string rather than short lasting pre cut exactly 21.5 inch legnths. Not easy and too time comsuming. Not recommended.
