Miss Ohio food

The people here in the west have no idea about chicken and dumplings. If I can't have Cracker Barrel, Sweet Sue is the next best thing.

what happened to a great product?
We have eaten Sweet Sue for 25 years - and recommended as the next best to home-made to many friends. Perfect for camping trips, too. We have bought many cans over the past year hoping to find the quality returned to normal. The chicken now is substantially inferior and the dumplings are gooey and come out of the can in a blob. The texture of the dumplings and flavor are now so disappointing. PLEASE return to the former quality. It's no longer "Americas Favorite".

Comments about Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplings - 1 Can (24 oz):

I used to think Sweet Sue Chicken & Dumplings tasted homemade, but these don't taste anything like I remember. Unless they go back to their old recipe, I won't be purchasing these again.

Comments about Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplings - 1 Can (24 oz):

Please go back to the quality and flavor of the chicken and dumplings. If economy is the key here, I'd rather buy smaller cans of the previous recipe than dealing with the faux chicken and goopy dumplings in the same sized 24 oz. can!

Comments about Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplings - 1 Can (24 oz):

I had just bought a can of these chicken and dumplings just 3 or 4 months ago(before the can changed) and it was as good as it always was. I remeber once, back when I was a young bachelor, the company I was working for was having a Thanksgiving thing and I took a can of your chicken & dumplings and told people I had cooked them myself. They all belived me. That is how good this product used to be. Please go back to the way you used to package it or I just can't eat it anymore.

Comments about Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplings - 1 Can (24 oz):

This product use to be good. Real chunks of chicken. Decent dumplings. Now the chicken is processed mystery meat. The dumplings are closer to old paste glue from my childhood than actual dumplings.

I was extremely disappointed. Even dogs deserve better.

I gave it to the dogs. The dumplings are like glue and the chicken isn't real anymore. I used to LOVE this product. No more. I will never buy it again and it's not fit for the dogs. They deserve better.

I grew up eating this with real chunks chicken and a bit of juice to keep it moist.

Now it's processed chicken chunks with no flavor, 1/2 of the can is water.

Now it can hardly be called "Made from scratch"

One of the little joys in life taken away.

                      Sad.

I was very disappointed to bring home and open less than 1/2 bowl of serving size. They have allowed the broth to become too thin and the price extremely too high for what they give you.
