1 Bottle = 28 oz (1 lb 12 oz) 794 g; Gourmet Sauces - Award Winning Barbecue. Squeezable. In 1985, my brother, Chef Larry Raymond, perfected the family recipe and entered our all-natural sweet and tangy barbecue sauce into the country's largest rib cookoff. He named it after the nickname I got while playing basketball on Chicago's West Side - Sweet Baby Ray. The sauce is so fine, the taste beat out nearly 700 entries in the riboff. Within a year, Larry and I, along with our high school friend Mike O'Brien, formed a company around our award-winning sauce and our simple philosophy about barbecue: The sauce is the boss.

  • 1 Bottle of 28 oz (1 lb 12 oz) 794 g
  • Ingredients: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Vinegar, Tomato Paste, Modified Food Starch, Salt, Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Natural Smoke Flavor, Spices, Caramel, Sodium Benzoate as a Preservative, Molasses, Corn Syrup, Garlic, Sugar, Tamarind, Natural Flavor.
  • Brush on meat during last 15 minutes of barbecuing or broiling. Twist to open. Refrigerate after opening.

          Over the years(many !), I have tried a lot of commerical sauces, spent hours preparing my own from available recipes and also creating my own. However, approixmately 6 months ago I bought the first bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's Original Sauce. Since that time I have served over 100 pounds of spare ribs to friends and relatives and virtually everyone has loved them. I apply to the ribs, on the grill during the last 30 or so minutes and also provide it along side as a sauce. I will continue to purchase and recommend Ray's Sauce as long as it is on the market, which should be a good long time.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            A friend kept talkin about this sauce so I had to try it. It has made my summer BBQs to die for!! Pick any flavor and try it on chicken. You'll never buy another brand.

            This is the best barbecue sauce I've ever used. It is the perfect blend of smokey and sweet without being TOO sweet. I don't care for it straight as a dipping sauce as it is a bit acidic which is why its only 4 stars but grilled on chicken its incredible, the only BBQ sauce I use.
