      I loved this cage, it is perfect for hamsters, especially dwarf hamsters. My little girl loves it. The wheel works really well and is quiet, all you need to do is put a little veggie oil on it. My hamster spends all night in the wheel and I never hear her at night (she is in the same room as me) It is pretty easy to clean, and keeps the mess inside. So if you are looking for a great cheap cage this is the one!! awesome colors too!

      I ordered this product cause it looked fun for the hampster and I knew my daughter would appreciate something more then just a basic cage. This is easy to clean and so far the hampster is very happy and spends hours running around his wheel. The only con is it is not very strong plastic so you have to move it with care.

        We bought this product to replace our older hamster cage. We were attracted by the bright colors, unusual design, and claims on the package that the design would "eliminate scattered food, litter, and messes on your floor." Unfortunately, our hamster carries food and bedding up into the wheel and every morning there a combination of poop, seeds, and bedding covering about five square feet of the floor. It is disgusting. Part of the problem is the construction of the product--snap together plastic. It allows for leaks while making it very difficult to disassemble the pieces for cleaning. I contacted the company via email to request a replacement product or refund and they did not even have the courtesy to write back. From now on, I will be purchasing another brand of cage for our hamster and will steer clear of products by CritterTrail.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
