My daughter lives in a drafty farmhouse they are restoring, and keeping the house warm in winter is a problem. When she said she was thinking of buying an electric blanket, I told her I'd get the heated mattress pad for her instead. Now she climbs into a pre-heated, cozy bed at night instead of ice-cold sheets! All the heat is kept under the covers, not on top of them to dissipate into the air.

      I use the heated mattress pad in the winter. It allows us to set the temperature lower. High temperature setting not only increase the utility bill, but also make the air very dry. I used to have itchy skin, bleeding nose in the winter. After using the heated mattress pad, I was able to lower the temperature setting and these problem are all gone!

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        Heated Mattress Pad

        I bought this for my father who is cold all the time. He has dogs that sleep in the bed with him. This way he can stay warm and the dogs can't do anything to the pad because its underneath him and not on top like a heated blanket is.

        This was the best heated mattress pad there this! My husband and I have a king size mattress pad from a different company and it does not even compare to the twin size one from Sunbeam! It is so warm. We bought it for my m-i-l for x-mas and she loves it! You can feel the warmth right through the comforter! VERY IMPRESSIVE!

            I love this heated mattress pad!! It's drafty in my bedroom because of a sliding door to the balcony, but since I've gotten this pad, I don't notice at all. I used to shiver at nght, but now I don't even need to turn on the heat. I wish I knew about this product sooner. [...] It gets really warm during the night, so I usually turn it down as I'm falling asleep.

                Have used other heated mattress pads and have had to set them on much higher heat settings to get just a "warmth". This one provides many degrees of warmth to heat to hot! I am buying a third one now to supply my kids beds!
