Assembly was not too bad except for the plastic pieces that have to be put in with a mallet & then broke. I wish that there was a portion on the top for easier entry instead of having the whole area surrounded which makes you go up and over. Also it could have a stronger base, we secured it to the wall for better stability. It defintely frees up a lot of floor space in my sons room which was the main reason for our purchase.
