It's great that the sand area is deep (the top portion). The cover stays on good, even in our windy location. However, the table is very short overall. My kids are 2 1/2 and just turned 3 years and they have to bend when playing with it. I'll probably only get this summer out of it, which is a shame.

My day care kids love this table. We use it every day. I've filled it with rice, beans, felt circles, Pom poms, packing peanuts, ice cubes... They scoop, sort, transfer materials and have a great time. I cover it and slide it under our art table.

This is a very nice sandbox. The kids really like it and it keeps them cleaner than a sandbox they sit in. It would be nice if it had adjustable heights. My five-year-old daughter has to bend over quite a bit to play in it and if I put a chair up to it her legs do not fit underneath. I would like to be able to make it higher. I also thought it was going to be deeper to put more sand, but there is adequate room. I hope step two comes out with a sandbox for a little bit bigger kids. This one seems more suited for 1 to 3-year-olds.

My kids love it , both can play together it's plenty room for play . I'm red the other review about the water go in the table , so when I bought it we wait a day because supposed to rain and did rain for three day we put the table outside but no sand inside I want to test it and after 3 days of rain I opened it and it was dry so we put in the moon sand in and my kids had a blast playing.It work the money.

Great little sandbox, I have had four kids playing in it at once. The only complaint I have is water does get in when it rains heavily and after having it only one summer the cover weathered and even more water was able to get in. Contacted step 2 for a replacement cover and was told that this is just what happens with these kind of sand boxes and that I could purchase a replacement cover for half of the price I paid for the sand box to begin with after shipping so we decided to replace this product now.

i THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER IF IT HAD DRAIN HOLES IN THE BOTTOM IN WHICH WATER COULD DRAIN. I SUPPOSE YOU COULD DRILL YOUR OWN, BUT FOR THE PRICE THEY SHOULD HAVE CONSIDERED IT

This is a great height. My son is two and loves it. Super fast to put together and love the lid so the sprinklers don't make the sand a mess!

I loved it for the first year and a half. Once the bungy cord broke it was never the same - leaked and the lid wouldn't stay on even with the replacement. Now the whole lid blew off in a storm and is gone. A replacement lid costs almost as much as a whole new sandbox so it's not worth it! I will buy a new one for a few dollars more, but not this one. Which is a shame because I liked it, but it didn't last. I'm sorry but a child's toy should last more than 1.5 years! Very disappointed in Step 2 for the first time.

Our grand daughters really love the sand box. They are 19 months old and can play around it for a long time without getting bored. It's a great addition to the back yard.
