It offers a UPF rating of 40+ which means it blocks up to 97% of UVA and UVB rays. Its 8 strong, resilient support ribs absorb wind without breaking or disfiguring. The gray telescoping pole with pointed base drives into the ground or sand easily and can be used separately whenever shade is needed. Made from durable fabric for long wear. The easy push up opening and closing by an adult is recommended. Its neutral brown and tan striped design complements traditional landscapes.

I have never taken the time to review something before, but I was so disappointed in the quality of this umbrella material, I decided to respond to their request for a review. The umbrella material developed several small holes near the hinges within the first few days of using it. I was very surprised and disappointed. Unfortunately, this is the only umbrella I know of that fits the sand & water table, so we are continuing to use it with the holes.

              I bought this umbrella to replace the original one that came with out Step2 picnic table. The first one only lasted two summers. It deteriorated and ripped. We have hot, intense sun in our backyard so it was due to extreme conditions more than to the quality of the umbrella. I was happy it was only [$] to replace it as we need the shade for the kids. My 3 year old tries to play with it (open/close it) so that attributed to the first one wearing out. Will not stand up to much of that. Cute umbrella...easy to open. Happy with it.

              I really like the product. Closes easily, helps protect my 1 year old and 3 year old from the sun and is stored easily. This is the biggest umbrella that Step2 has and it is a little small. I have a neice and nephew and another neice on the way, and I do not think all 5 of them will be able to play in the sand table and stay under the umbrella. However, I placed this order and less than two weeks later, the seams on the umbrella are starting to separate. I have not yet called Step2 to see what they will do for me, but other than that small inconvience, I am VERY happy with the product and my shopping experience with Step2!!!
