This kitchen is absolutely adorable! We love it. We set up Christmas Eve, with a big red bow, for our 2 1/2 yr. old daughter to wake up to on Christmas morning. She saw it, and we couldn't get her out of it, to even open her other presents. She loves the little burner that boils and sizzles, that's her favorite part. She sits on the little stool in front of the stove, and "cooks." It is so cute! Assembly was extremely easy, as the instructions were great. All the accessories are wonderful, tons of food, pans and dishes. There are only a few things I was disappointed with; there were a couple of big scratches on the countertops, it's like somebody with a box cutter must have cut them before boxing them up. I read other reviews where people mentioned this, but I was hoping I would luck out. But they aren't that noticeable, as the counters are maroonish. There should be more storage space under the stove, like there is above the fridge. The kitchen looks bigger in the Step 2 picture, then it really is, but it is still big enough. And for the price of the kitchen, I think it should be a bit heavier. The plastic isn't as thick as I thought it would be. But maybe it was made that way, so it could be moved around more easily. All in all, it is really great, and I do most definitely recommend it, but for younger children, probably 3 to 5, as the counters are not that tall, they are about perfect height for my daughter who is almost 37" tall. She can sit on the stool, or stand, and play comfortably. Not for older children, it would just be too small. I'm adding a picture of Lily in her kitchen, so you can compare the size for your own child.

I really like this kitchen (as does my 1-yr old daughter), but similar to other users' comments the assembly was not as represented...I had no problem following the directions but at least a dozen holes needed to be drilled, despite the fact that the instructions indicated holes should have already been there. (There were indentations where the holes SHOULD have been but apparently they were missed in production.) Fortunately I had someone who could drill them for me but, if not, what would someone do? Re-package and ship back 2 huge boxes?? I was very frustrated that based on other user comments[...] it seems this has been a problem for quite a while, but Step2 hasn't done anything to remedy the issue.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen Playset:

We bought this kitchen as a gift for my son's 3rd birthday and it was a hit. He absolutely loves his new kitchen and he enjoys cooking for the whole family. I spent a lot of time researching play kitchens online and finally decided to spend the extra money to get this one rather than just a single unit kitchen. I am happy with my purchase and look forward to my younger son (currently 4mo) being able to play with it as he grows as well. It seems very durable. The instructions were easy to follow though it did take some time to assemble but that is expected with a larger unit.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen Playset:

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. We had some problems with shipping. One of the boxes never left the warehouse so we didn't receive the second box until the day after Christmas. When I contacted customer service on December 19th to find out what happened to the 2nd box the customer service was awesome or so I thought at the time. Unfortunately they gave me empty promises. They promised to overnight the 2nd box to us that day. I called the next day because I never received the tracking number as promised. I learned they still had not shipped the package. I called twice more before Christmas with promises I would have it in time. Christmas Eve I ran to Toys R' Us so my little one would have something on Christmas morning. I finally received the package on the 26th. I'm happy with the product itself. It was easy to assemble and my daughter loves it. There were lots of accessories to go with it and she loves the sounds of the stove, microwave and phone.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter enjoyed this kitchen set so much at daycare I had to get her one. It has been fun watching all the different ways she plays with it. Sometimes she plays restaurant and sometimes she cooks for her dolls and for us. She absolutely loves her kitchen set.

This kitchen is exactly what we were looking for. My daughter wanted something she could walk into and be the chef for her siblings and cousins. She's down there for at least an hour at a time, even if no one is around. Best present ever!

My husband and I bought tths for our two children, ages 3 and 1. They spend so much time in the kitchen playing. They are learning to share and our oldest is learning how to cook. She loves to watch me in the kitchen then will go to her kitchen amd try to copy me. Both of my children love the added extras that came with the kitchen. It is very easy to store stuff but I fond there just isnt enough room in the cabinets since the pots and pans are to wide to store under the stove. It would also be noce if there was a dedicated coffee pot space.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen Playset:

We really like the kitchen, however, after my husband assembled the "burner" for the stove, we placed some pots and pans on it to see the different effects, and it conked out after about 20 seconds of play. The lights just stayed on and wouldn't make ANY noise. I mean, 20 seconds, really??? So I called Step 2 the day after Xmas (shock of all shocks, the line was REALLY busy) and told them the problem and they said they'd ship out a new burner to us. That said, our daughter is only 20 months old so I know it didn't detract from her enjoyment of the kitchen at this point. She doesn't know what everything does yet, but she LOVES LOVES LOVES talking into the "phone"!

my husband and son-in-law put it together and daughter added decals. I took pictures. My granddaughter, nearing two years, was jumping all over it and the room. Her 3 and one-half year old brother was busy putting things in place then came over to tell me how much he loved me. Can't get better than that!
