This is a really beautiful play kitchen, and my kids love it! I bought it for my almost 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son, for Christmas. My 3 year old is absolutely in love with with this, and my son is delighted with it also. Very clever, with all the sounds and storage space. Very realistic too. My favorite part is the stove, that really sounds like it's boiling water with one of the pots on it, and sounds like it's sizzling food with one of the pans on it. Can you tell I wish I had one of these as a kid? Definitely! The one complaint I have is that the assembly could have been made a bit easier. The instructions say that a drill is optional, but it's really required. I don't see how you can just use a screwdriver by hand to make holes in plastic (not premarked). If the manufacturer doesn't think predrilled holes would work for this toy for sturdiness, then I think the holes should at least be premarked, so we can drill before screwing in the screws. Some of the holes were really difficult to make because of the tight space in which you had to twist your hand or fit your drill into. Aside from this, I love this kitchen, and if you're prepared for some major assembly, it's a wonderful gift for your kids. I see lots of playing with this.

My grandaughter LOVES it! It would have broken my heart if we had to send it back after she saw it. The oven door does not close, looking for fix to be sent. Cupboard doors under sink have an inch gap between them. It is difficult to open refrigerator, and microwave, but I guess that is good since the oven doesn't close! The sprayer hose is to long, but is glued into place so I didn't want to mess with it. I guess these are all little things since she is enjoying it so much.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen Multi:

Most importantly my kids who are two and one are loving this. To a more discerning adult eye it takes a lot of time to assemble, is a kind of boring color scheme and is made poorly in some ways ie the drawers pop out when you open them. But there is a lot to keep busy with and I'm happy I bought it.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen Multi:

I bought this kitchen for my 22 month old and he absolutely loves it. I chose this model over other ones because we are expanding our family and I wanted something large enough for two children to play comfortably and this definitely fits the bill.

He loves opening the drawers and using the appliances just like his parents. His absolute favorite thing about this kitchen are the electronic panels next to the microwave, oven, and dishwasher and the light above the kitchen sink. I had contemplated a wooden kitchen set but I'm glad I went with this one because it makes him so happy.

The design is very attractive and includes many features that allow the children to play creatively.
There are three drawers that are too loose in the way they fit. Using them is awkward.

We have had this kitchen for six years and it is still in great condition despite my children and many visiting children putting the miles on it. It is very durable and because of its size, more than one child can play at the same time. A must have!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen Multi:

My daughter loves this kitchen. It is a good size and has many things to keep her attention. A couple of other comments on the not so great features - the 3 small drawers do not slide back in easily. This is purely a design issue with how the bottom of the main unit is molded where these drawers fit in. For example, the molded plastic has a step down and many times when you try to slide the drawer back in, the edge gets caught on this step and will not slide in. My daughter gets frustrated. The simple fix from Step2 would be to remove this step or at least widen it so that it is smaller than the width of the drawer. The only other thing that I would like to have seen improved, was the volume of the 3 electronic units in the dishwasher, microwave and oven (the volume is a bit too low).....also with this, it would have been nice if some of the functions played a bit longer, i.e. the washing sound on the dishwasher only lasts for a second or two. These sounds should play for a longer period of time in my opinion. Other reviewers commented about no pilot holes in some of the plastic pieces. I do not see this as an issues, as these are plastic pieces - not wood or metal you are screwing together. Thus, you can not over tighten any of the screws and the ones that do not have pilot holes, I personally want as much plastic material around the screw to add as much support as possible. However, what I did find in some cases, was that I had to puncture the plastic in these areas with the screw and then back the screw out a bit before driving the screw in all of the way. If I didn't do this, sometimes the plastic bowed in and the two pieces did not sit on each other flush, i.e. there was a small gap.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen Multi:

The instructions were confusing, but I was still able to assemble it in one afternoon. As others have indicated, the microwave door has difficulty opening and shutting, but other than that and the cheap food items provided with the kitchen, it's a pretty good product.
