The design is great for 1 or 2 children. Big con is that the lid does not snap or lock into place. So we have to set something on top to keep the lid on. The wind will blow the lid off if not. My son loves the construction design and toys that come with it. The scoop does not stay in place very well either. It falls out of the hole very easily. It should lock into place as well. These are only my opinions though.

          My 3 year old got this for his birthday and he loves it. It is really perfect if you only have one child, but is still great for two kids to play as well. It is on the small side, but inside there is more than enough room. 50 pounds of sand is perfect. I would recommend getting the play sand that [...] carries. We got extra so that we could replace any that gets thrown out. The lid works great and we have been storing it flat so it doesn't warp...thanks to the other reviewer. The crane is super easy to put together. It is also removable so you can take it off if it is getting in the way. My 3 year old really can't work it that well yet, so right now we just have it off. I can't wait for my 8 month old son to get big enough to play in it with his big brother. We will be enjoying this for years to come!
