My son could not see out of the mask as the eye hole section was painted white. We had to cut a hole in the mask so he could see.

I bought this for my 7yo son. received it 2 days ago & looked it over. All is great EXCEPT the mask. When I put the mask on the tinted slots to see out of are so BLURRY that I couldn't see a thing, only large shapes. Called customer service today on this wanting to change out the mask. 1st answer I got was litterally "we can exchange the costume but can't guarantee the next one will have a mask that isn't blurry". Of course that is UNACCEPTABLE. Customer service contacts management & the next answer I get is "have your child wear it because the childs eyes will line up differently with the eye slots & they SHOULD be able to see out of it". WOW! I did all I could to keep from laughing at that...another unacceptable answer. The 3rd answer I get from management is "we're going to do a return on your because it seems it's defective". Ok I like that answer but where's the solution? I ask "am I going to get another one back that you can see out of?". Customer service:"sir can't guarantee the next one will have a mask that isn't blurry".
SO we are right back to where we started. This isn't just about MY CHILD's vision in this costume (or the ones similar) this is about ANY CHILD whose parents may have purchased or are considering purchasing this or a similar costume. PLEASE CHECK THE VISION OF THE MASK BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR CHILD OUT IN IT. I understand Meijer is just the distributor for this BUT at the same time one cannot sell such an item that physically impares the vison of anyone, and then when it is brought to the distributors attention have NO acceptable answers on how to handle the issue.
