Stadler Form Fred Steam Humidifier
The Fred Steam Humidifier invades your home with its smooth design. Sitting on solid steel weighted tripod legs, the steam from this air humidifier is hot and clean - free of minerals and bacteria. Ready to help you and your home furnishings during the dry air seasons, Fred silently goes to work. It is even earth friendly with 2 power settings, a low power setting that uses only 150W and a powerful setting that uses 200W to kick up the steam.

Fred is also economical on water use. On the lower power setting, Fred steams only 1 gallon of water for the entire day while on the normal setting it uses 2 gallons of water a day. It even shuts off automatically when the water reservoir is empty for added convenience and safety.

Fred is also good for you and your family's health. It can help relieve cold symptoms by making the air you breathe moist, which helps keep your lungs more elastic. It also reduces susceptibility to infection by keeping the mucus membranes of your throat and nasal passages moist allowing the tiny hairs (cilia) in both to work at expelling foreign objects such as mold, pet dander, and bacteria.

          This is a great humidifier. It has no problem humidifing my 800sqft condo with 15ft ceilings. The humidifier can run for over 8 hours on a single tank of water.

          The only downside is that the paint on the spout is flaking off due to the high heat from the steam.

          A very small puddle of water is occasionally left inside when the tank is withdrawn for refilling. It does not leak onto the floor, but one must be careful to not "dribble" when carrying the near-empty tank. It does not waste water. Costs more than most humidifiers, but is more stylish, efficient, easy-to-use, and downright fun than other humidifiers. It has been a very worthwhile investment for me. It arrived soon after I ordered it and was packed as well or better than any product that I have come in contact with (I should know; I was a postal clerk for a number of years). I would give one as a gift... though this one, fortunately, is for me.
