Comments about Sportsman 154NB 2000W Portable Generator:

In the specs in this Meijer ad it says needs a 12 volt battery.. I have the same model actually 2 of them.. This unit does not need a 12 volt battery it CHARGEs a 12 volt battery it has the charging cables included in addition to being a running 1500 watt (12.5 amp) and 2000 watt surge (16.67 amp). It only uses 3 to 4 gallons of gas a day.. Compare that to the larger 3000 watt or larger generators that go through that much in 8 hours. It has all the power you need in an emergency power outage. Can power the fridge and a small AC at the same time. Can power a water or sump pump. I bought a 3 way lighted spliter and run a line to the water pump another to the fridge and the third to an power strip to AC and lights. I just swap out the fridge and AC if I need to use the water pump. Works great...
