I bought this for my entry-foyer. I needed something that wouldn't seem bulky, or feel like it's taking up the room.[...].It added some desperately needed height to the room. In fact I put the shimmer tree that I got from meijer on top of it and it's a real statement when you walk in.I like that the bottom shelf adds a layer of interest and depth.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
