I purchased the desk and the matching hutch. The assembly was not diffcult, however it was very time consuming. It is a two person job. I was impressed that all of the holes lined up perfectly, and that the drawers slide very well. I do not believe that the drawers will hold a lot of weight. The desk is very sturdy. I like that the company sends a touch up marker in case you scratch the desk. I am probably going to buy a piece of glass to put on top of my desk as added protection. My CPU tower did not fit under the desk because of the the lower shelf (which is a nice bit of extra storage) so I placed it on the floor next to the desk. My average sized printer fits nicely on the desk along with the monitor, a phone and router, and there is plenty of room in front of those items to lay out paperwork. I have a 20 inch monitor, a larger monitor may not fit well with the hutch. As for the hutch, it looks sharp. The two small shelves under each glass door do not provide a lot of storage but you can place a few short items. We added extra reinforcement to the back of the hutch by using the extra nails from the desk to nail the back on. Overall I am very pleased. I love the size of the desk, it is not overwhelmingly large, but plenty big enough. Most space saving desks are metal and I really wanted something wood. The color is beautiful and matches well with the dark woodwork in our old house. Also shipment was very efficient and the desk and hutch arrived earlier than expected.
