    I had two machines before picking this up: a general purpose machine and a vintage zig-zag machine. Unfortunately my general purpose machine's timing mechanism messed up and I needed to finish some straight line seams on a clothing project that I needed done within the next couple days. So I looked around online for some relatively cheap machines that would do the job. After some comparison of the models Meijer had in stores, I decided on this one. I got home and started using it immediately. It's held up just fine under intensive, long term use (~6 hours of use during a 9 hour period) and has been very easy to use the whole time.
    I'm not going to make it my main machine, but as a back up and/or first sewing machine, I can't recommend it enough.
