If you follow the instuctions on first time charging, the thing holds a charge for days. 24 hrs initial charge, run until dead and then charge for 16 hrs. Good to go!

    This sweeper does not hold a charge. You can leave it plugged in for hours and when you start using it, it quits within minutes, yes within minutes. I am writing to the maker because I am really dissatisfied with this product....I wanted something to just do quick jobs and the first time I used it, it worked great, after that, got nothing.....
