    Great value and very solid all around.The cover plate screws onto base which has a rubber gasket to keep water out.Not 100% sure its watertight or fire resistant but there are ways around that.Place your items in the large plastic bag provided with the safe and place your cash,documents in a fire proof bag for added protection.This safe is easy to install and hide.You will need 3 80lb bags of concrete(240 lbs)and a few peices of rebar for extra security when installing,I installed it in 5 hrs through 4 inches of poured concrete good luck ever removing it.I would highly recommend this safe for extra security over a wall safe.

      I have owned quite a few safes and this is the best I have had. I would recommend this product. Make sure you put a plastic bag around it and use plenty of concrete.
