Beautiful aquarium, easy to set up but buyer beware, light unit is bad and only had 2 nonths and can't add fish because light will not stay on but flicker. I have contacted SeaClear dealer, California Aquarium Supply Corporation and... got no response as to where I can get a replacement light unit. To replace bulb WHICH DOES NOT COME WITH THE LIGHT UNIT, YOU HAVE TO REMOVE 4 PLASTIC SCREWS/PEGS, ONE ON EACH SIDE. You have to use a knife or flat thin object to pry out of holes. I've checked many web sites and the only complaint I've seen is about the cheap light. Other than light, no problems. Also can't use large objects in aquarium as everything including feeding the fish is done by lifting off light unit. When dealers sell aquariums, they should also carry replacement parts!

order this tank after researching and looking every where for an acrylic bowfront tank. I wanted under a 30 gal bow front but they don't really make them. I up graded from a 6 gal so it's quite a difference. love it over all (I've had fish in it for about 3 weeks now) but a few glitches I had to over come. When researching I went to the store here in town they tried to talk me out of an acrylic tank 1 cause they don't sell them and 2 they claim they scratch easy well having own 1 prior I knew he was full of it. Just don't put sand in it, gravel or the larger natural rock.

the glitches I had to over come about the tank were, when it came in the mail one of the peices that hooks the balist cover to the hood was broken. I tried to contact searclear with no luck I e-mail and called customer service, I was transfered to a cell phone and got voicemail. I never got a return call. My husband researched and went to the hardware store and just got something different to hold it. Also you have to read the fine print it doesn't come with a bulb. There is holes drilled in the top over the sides for the under ground filter air hose. They were not big enough, so my husband drilled them out to be a hair bigger. Anouther thing to be aware of is that the only openings on top are where the light sits and in the back where you put the filter heater and extras. That made it interesting because I have a floating baby pen. I had to hook it to the back of the tank so it wouldn't float to where I couldn't get them to feed them. and also you cant get any decorations that are to big because they have to fit through the light area to be put in.

Now that I have over come all that and it is up and running it's great we got the clear back and added a backround, and it looks from straight on, like the back is bowed too. We also added moon light leds, so my gromies, platies, mollies swordtails, teras, alge eaters, and even my 2 frogs are happy and healthy.

The tank is great. We made the mistake of purchaseing the decorations for it before we got it and found out that the top doesn't completely come off so it is narrow (about 5"). Had to modify the new decoration in order to get it in the tank.
