Schleich Wooly Mammoth Figurine
Wearing an unkempt coat, woolly mammoths are an echo of elephants. Woolly mammoths were herbivores that lived in a cold, harsh climate. They kept warm with long, thick hair and woolly under fur. Almost 10' tall at the shoulder, these massive mammals weighed 3 tons.
Other characteristic features on both males and females included twin ivory tusks, a long trunk with finger-like projections at the tip, big ears, and a sloped back. Mammoths used their tusks to move snow from areas of vegetation. Moving together as a herd, woolly mammoths migrated from place to place in search of food. For ages 3 years and up.
