I am a first grade teacher and I purchased several Schleich animals recently when a toy store went out of business in my area. I am using the animals as part of my Centers. I wanted the Schleich Animal Nursery to enhance and store the animals. I watched prices for about three months and no one was able to beat Meijer. The prices ranged from $179.00 to $110.00, Meijer offered [$] with free shipping. I received the nursery in perfect conditon and will bring it to school after our Winter Break. My students will be ecstatic!

Our eleven year old autistic daughter loves this. It really spurs imagination. We also purshased about $200 in schleich animals, knights and dragons.I would say it's a very educational toy,because imagination play is very important in the learning process. She plays several hours a day with it.Worth every penny and then some.It was such a great price too!Thank you. Kathy

My daughter is 4 and this was a birthday present and she really loves this building. It is high quality and holds the animals nicely. She has chimps living in the people side of the building as well as farm and african animals in the pens. The only con is the house porch does not attach and the roof pieces (4 of them)are easy to remove. To explain: 3 roof pieces are made to come off for reaching in and the fourth piece can be removed too along with the corner posts. This might not be a con to all if you have a little one that needs to reach in and see easier. The pieces can be pulled off and stored and added later. Snaps together easily; beautifully detailed; doors, shutters and tables operate nicely.

My niece is 5 and loves animals. Schleich products last and last, and this animal nursery will give her many hours of enjoyment. I do wish the back porch attached to the building however.

My 9 year old daughter has wanted this Schleich safari playset since she was 6 years old, but I told her it was too expensive for us to buy. She has continued to ask for it over the past 3 years, so when I found an excellent sale price at Meijer, I decided to order it for her BIG present for Christmas. We were VERY pleased. [...]was easy for her to assemble herself, and she has already played with it for hours at a time without tiring of it. We also ordered the safari play set with the truck, animals, veterinarian, etc. which my daughter also loves! I would highly recommend this high quality set. Now that I have seen it, I can see why it costs more than the cheap plastic play sets. This is really durable!
