Comments about Sauder Shoal Creek Armoire Oiled Oak:

Everyone raves how this unit fits right into my decor. I bought one several months ago and another this week. I use them as "pie safes" for misc. baking and cookware and overstock of grocery items (cans, etc.) This gave me extra room to re-organize my kitchen cabinets. They fit beautifully in my dining room. Yes, they are heavy and takes muscle to assemble, but worth it.

Comments about Sauder Shoal Creek Armoire Oiled Oak:

Cheaply made and the edges of the pieces already had the color worn off of them when we opened it up. Purchased for family room TV. My husband is going to add a thin piece of plywood to the back to sturdy it and I have to get some Old English to wipe on it where the color is missing.

We have bought other Sauder products in the same price range but their quaility was much better.

Beautiful piece, sturdy for what it is

By Melinda

Pros

  • Nice Finish
  • Plenty of room

Cons

  • Assembly can take awhile

Best Uses

  • Board game cabinet
  • Linens

Comments about Sauder Shoal Creek Armoire Oiled Oak:

I bought this piece along with the matching chest of drawers and nightstand. I love this piece as it holds the most items in it. Mostly I use it for spare blankets and board games since there isn't much closet space in my apartment. The only con I've come across is the assembly. You absolutely need two people to put this thing together - it's heavy and bulky once it's fully assembled. Also, it's hard to correct some mistakes if you put a piece together wrong, so plan/read directions twice and put together once. We put this together had have a slight gap in the doors, but it's more operator error than furniture error, I think.
