      This headboard was relatively easy to assemble. It's quite a bit shorter than I would have planned for - the bottom of the shelves falls at the same level as the top of the mattress. The headboard is somewhat wide for a full size bed - sticks out about 4 inches on either side, leaving a gap at the bottom where the structure and fastenings can be seen. The wood finish doesn't blend too well with some of the real pine purnishings in the rest of the room. However, having used this headboard for a couple of weeks, I find it very handy to have the numerous shelving units and there are punch out holes in the back for inserting electrical cords. The top of the headboard is just the right height for placing an alarm clock and a lamp. All in all, it may not be the most attractive unit but it's very functional.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
