My family purchased this desk to replace a large office desk that was taking up half of an empty room. I liked the design because the filing cabinet was part of the desk so I already knew that would save space. We decided to use the optional slide-out keyboard as a third drawer and we store envelopes, extra paper, etc. there. The assembly was a bit time consuming and some of the directions were not so clear but overall it's a great desk. Compact, space-saving and efficient. It also looks really nice once assembled. We were going to tuck it into the corner of a spare room and decided to keep it in our family room because it looks so nice and goes well with the room.

we are using this desk in my son's room. It looks really nice and it's not too big. Great drawer space and very nice construction.

I bought this desk for the size, not too big and not too small.  I want to use it for home office in apartment. The drawers are large and plenty of surface area on desk top.  The color is nice. too. The only negative thing I can say is I have put together cheap furniture for at least 20 years and these instructions are the worst instructions I have come across.  They are pictorial in nature and have scant written instructions.  Also not all the pieces are labelled with their corresponding letter in the legend of parts so it was difficult to figure out the smaller parts.  In addition, a couple of nails were so badly bent I could not use them.  I have put together many things made by Sauder and have found the instructions easy and convenient, but they dropped the ball with these instructions.  I was able to get the desk together correctly and it is really nice.
