      If you handly the wood un-carefully it *will* crack. however, it you treat this delicately when putting it together it's really cute, with a beach-house feel. once put together, it is much sturdier than the pieces are seperately.

        We were happy to find this product at Meijer at a much lower price than we've seen before. It is a heavy piece, but we think that makes it sturdy. We use it to store nice looking file boxes and our printer. The decorative trim pieces really are nice details.
