Comments about Sangean RCR2 Atomic AM/FM Clock Radio with Digital Display:

The overall quality, design and sound seem quite good. The display is a little difficult to see and the buttons/controls are small and not intuitive/obvious. I.E. It's a bit laborious to set/unset the alarms - not an obvious one or two step procedure. I would recommend this radio provided you are not bothered by these issues.

Comments about Sangean RCR2 Atomic AM/FM Clock Radio with Digital Display:

I love the multiple radio station preset options--easy to set those. It is a little hard to figure out how to set the alarms, so I don't change the settings -- just use my husband's clock on the occasional days I need to get up a different time, or turn off the volume on days I don't have to get up to an alarm. The back light is quite bright, but you do have the option to turn it off. The time numbers are greyed out and hard to read.

Comments about Sangean RCR2 Atomic AM/FM Clock Radio with Digital Display:

This unit was bought to replace a Sharp alarm clock that had a defective slider switch and failing display. The backlit Sangean is not as easily read as its predecessor.

I picked this model because of the PLL tuning. It works very well. There is only one speaker and only the volume can be controlled.

The automatic time set works, but setting the time manually does not allow the automatic feature to over-ride your manual decision. The entire clock can be reset to permit the automatic time set to stay in control.

The radio tuning is common-sense. The alarm set is not. **Keep the manual under the unit: you'll need it if you want to change something.**

If the humane alarm is not shut off on its first cycle, you may have to shut it off twice because of repeated alarm cycles. (I assure you, I have not been mistakenly toggling the snooze button.)
