This came in handy! It contains the smell pretty well. I will say that my husband had to clean/change this almost every day in the first couple months because my son would go thru so many diapers...but, you would be taking out the trash daily anyway, this just contained the smell until he could get to it. So, I would definately recommend it for new parents!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
