This is a beautiful unit. I was worried about it not fitting into my "traditional decor". But the unit is sharp looking, and really understated where I have it tucked into a large lower wall cutout "cubby" that sits under my TV upper wall cut-out. Since my tv and theater system are both black, as is my DirecTV unit, this rack really pulled it all together. I'm glad I got the black and not the silver. But I think if it were more exposed (outside the cubby hole), it would have a more "modern" look to it.

Easy to assemble. I'm a woman who is used to assembling things, so take that for what it is worth. Though, as many other reviewers have said, once you get to the 4th and 5th tier, the holes don't line up well with the posts. This is due to the screws that join the legs. Or rather, the fitting that the screw goes into inside the leg well. It is not symmetrical or whatever. So the screw tilts when you screw it in. Its like its off thread, but its not. So the screw tilts and it is not straight up and down and you REALLY have to "man handle" the glass and sort of tork the whole unit using brute strength to get those last few legs in. HOWEVER, once in, it sits up straight just fine. A little improvement on the manufacturing process should fix the angled screw fixtures.

All in all, I am glad I chose this over a piece of furniture to house my equipment. It really is versatile in its appearance The unit is almost overly packaged! But not really considering all the glass shelving. It is H-E-A-V-Y though. I shopped around for pricing and Meijer won the deal. If you are on the fence, I'd say jump off the fence and go for it!
