Poor reception, and does not stay on radio station. Tuning dial can be turned one full turn in either direction and will not change station, then skips stations. Seems to lock onto strong station signals and not select the frequency for station reception.

The dial tuner does not stay on station. I'm very unhappy with this RCA radio.

We've owned Super Radios 1 and 2 in the past but this one is the better engineered radio of the bunch. No gripes at all with radio.

I now have 4 of the radio because I like to have them in various location i.e. basement, workshop, garage, bathroom etc. We have a single level long house and the radios allows use to listen to what we want where we want. Like the fact that the batteries last quite a long time in these radios.

I've replaced my worn out, broken GE Super Radio I bought many years ago with this RCA. In comparison, they are very similar, but I think the GE was better. The only problem I have with the RCA is when you first turn it on, it makes noises (like scratchy, short-wave radio interference) and seems to struggle to tune in. After it has warmed up a bit, however, it turns on OK.

I bought this radio for work since it's difficult to get good reception with most radios. I'm able to get decent reception, although I may still add an external antenna (this is an option as there are terminals on the back for this). The sound from the speakers is great. My only complaint so far is that the tuning dial is not accurate.
