This cool electric Euro-style scooter is ready to ride in vintage style. While you're cruising, listen to your favorite tunes from the iPod dock. The dock is compatible with all iPods and has a FM radio tuner so you can stay updated on the latest news. Large, 16" pneumatic tires, a hand brake and twist grip throttle, and a rechargeable 30-minute battery will cart anyone up to 175lbs.

This is exactly what my daughter wanted for her 11th birthday. The recommended age is 14 but she is very responsible and is doing great with the imod. I goes very fast (compared to her regular razor electric stand up scooter). She is the envy of the neighborhood! Easy to assemble but quite heavy. The only complaint I would have is that who ever put the stickers on (at the mfg.) could have done a better job - they all have ripples/bubbles in them. Too bad because other than that it is perfect.

My daughter wanted this so bad. it was the 2007 model, aqua in color. perhaps this one is an improvement. it worked fine in the winter after christmas. but the battery got cold (or charger, we don't know which) because it can't be kept in our house (no room.) we live in new york, so the battery which stays in the vehicle, got cold in the garage we suppose. it stopped charging. we tried replacing parts, batteries, chargers my brother and i were on the phone with the company back and forth. it just plain stopped working. don't buy one if you can't keep it warm. don't buy one if you expect it to work after one year. it's a lot of money for something that does not last. my daughter was heartbroken when it died and the men in my family are engineers and technicians. they tried everything. i really feel that i got a raw deal with it. the company was not that helpful. it should have been replaced. she loved it though for the time it worked and maybe the new model has some improvements in the battery/charging capabilities.

    My 10 year old likes this better than the regular mini mod because it is a little bigger. The bigger wheels make it better for taller children.

    This is a great product. The kids love it and enjoy the radio feature. The only downside is the battery does not last very long, but other than that it cruises along at a safe and resonable speed. Definitely a lot of fun!

          The scooter arrived in great time. Until it arrived, I didn't realize it was intended for girls 14 & up. Fortunately, even though our daughter was only turning 11, she had had prior experience on the stand up electric razor scooter, which is actually what she asked for. She was not disappointed!!!

          I wouldn't say it was easy to put together, but it wasn't too difficult either. Unfortunately, one of the mirrors snapped off while I was trying to wrap it, and though the i-pod feature worked great the night we put it together, wrapped it, and got it charging, it did not work the next day. Could not figure out why... amazingly, this did not deter our daughter's excitement about her gift. She loves riding it all around the neighborhood. The battery really lasts long enough for a good ride, even when she's driving a younger sibling with her. Our street is especially steep, and she does need to give a few good kicks to keep it going, but it makes it, which we really weren't expecting.

          We're still working on an exchange or a return and repurchase with Meijer, but in the meantime, she loves riding her new scooter. Overall, we are mostly impressed and would definitely repurchase and hopefully not have the little gliches.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          I BOUGHT FOR CHRISTMAS FOR BOTH TO SHARE ALONG WITH POCKET ROCKET TO HELP TEACH BALANCE AND JUST PLAIN HAE FUN. WE USE TO RIDE SCOOTER TOGETHER AS A FAMILY AND WE LOVED IT SO WE AE GOING TO START DOING IT AGAIN AND WHAT A BETTER WAY TO START THAN WITH IMOD. WISH IT CAME IN MORE COLORS THOUGH BESIDES WHITE.
