Razor Electric Bike - MX500 Dirt Rocket Series
With authentic supercross-inspired dirt bike frame geometry, this Razor bike leaves the other bikes in its dust. Geared up for some hot dirt, 'cause it's stocked with 16" front and 14" rear pneumatic knobby tires for maximum power transfer.

Need to get away on the sly? This kid's dirt bike's chain-driven motor offers quiet, yet powerful operation, while the dual suspension and riser handlebars deliver a smooth and comfy ride. So hop on, because laced with supercross styling, the Razor Rocket is the only way to fly.

We recently purchased the MX500 Razor for our 7 yr. old son for Christmas. [...] The MX500 has held up really well(still new), runs around 20 mph and the battery last longer than you would think. Our son is 52' tall and weighs around 60lbs. It fits his size perfectly and we really believe with his coordination and experience, he could actually handle the MX650 with ease. Maybe next year he will move up to the 650? Anyway, I recommend this size for anyone under 10 yr. old., but remember to make them WEAR a helmet And I recommend buying at Meijer.

BE PREPARED TO SPEND A LOT ON BATTERYS!!

These bikes are great except for the life of the battery's and the warranty that Razor offers. We have owned 3 of these bikes in the past 2 years. I currently have an MX 500 and an MX 350 (this is our 2nd 350-the first one had to be replaced due to a bad battery after only 2 months). Both have less than 60 miles on each of them and neither have ever been taken off road. BOTH have DEAD battery's!!! It's going to cost me around $200 A PIECE to replace the battery's in both-that includes parts and labor. Once your 90 day warranty from Razor is up, they wash their hands of ANY problems that you run into-and trust me, you will!! Aside from the battery's, the bikes are fun to ride-especially if you've got 2 of them and your kids can ride w/each other or a friend. I would recommend to a friend, but I would sternly warn them about the situation w/the battery's as well as the really bad warranty that Razor is trying to pass off with these bikes.

I purchased this bike for my 9 year old daughter who wanted it Xmas 2010. So I decided to surprise her this Xmas 2011 with one and a cool matching helmet. She loved it! One week after Xmas it was stolen out of our garage and she was in tears. I felt sooo bad for her. She only rode the bike about 4 times. Keep an eye on your child while riding this item. Others will want one too at any measures to get it. Unfortunately my Allstate Insurance did not cover it claiming that I didn't have motorcycle insurance. What a big disappointment. One word of advice...write the serial numbers down and put them away just in case you ever have to file a report. I'm in no way a rich person but I plan to find a way to replace the smile on my child's face.

        My son is twelve and wanted a dirt bike but we didnt want to get him a real dirt bike which can go too fast for a kid, so this seemed like the perfect solution. He loves it and it definitely goes fast enough. The rule is always a helmet and never on the road, only off road. All the other kids love it too.

          11 year old grandson(very agil)rides on grass & dirt in open field..handles terrain well.. he loves it! Grandma was worried, but wearing helmut & other protective gear eased her fears, especially when she saw how much it was enjoyed.

          Wishes it would hold a charge longer.

            This is my son's 2nd razor, he is 7yrs old and the power to weight ratio is perfect for his size. The battery life is a little over 1.5hrs constant ride time before needing a recharge. Speed is approx 12-14mph (fast enough that he has fun but not enough that I worry -- too much) Safety gear is a must while riding this product. Great buy for a child who wants to learn to ride a dirt bike.
