Qwirkle
Qwirkle is as simple as matching colors and shapes, it is a game that also requires tactical maneuvers and well-planned strategy. The game consists of 108 wooden blocks with 6 different shapes in 6 colors. Using the blocks, players attempt to score the most points by building lines that share a common attribute - either color or shape. Qwirkle is a quick game to learn, but you'll soon discover that you'll need to think strategically in order to score the most points.

              This game was a big hit! My 86 year old dad was playing it with other adults and a 10 year old grandson. The pieces are nice to look at and handle - sturdy and bright. The play moved along quickly and yet we were able to talk while we played. Great fun!

                I bought this for my 10 year old nephew who LOVES games(as does his family). My sister called to tell me that they played it non-stop since they had it. She has 4 boys: 5, 10, 14 and 17 years old and they all loved it.

                  We bought this to give to my grand-daughter but played it with our adult children first and they took it home with them. We thought the game was too difficult for a child because we assumed you could play on multiple lines in each turn as long as you used tiles that were related to the first group of tiles played (which could be played only on one line). Playing by our rules is much more interesting for adults, but too difficult for most young children. I guess I can buy another one for my grand-daughter as long as we teach her to play by the actual rules of the game.

                    I bought this game for my fourteen year old nephew. After playing it at my brother's house and realizing how strategic of a game it was, I knew it would be the perfect gift. My nephew enjoys challenging brain games and Qwirkle fit the bill.
