    It is our 25th wedding anniversary coming up soon and we have owned sets like these for MANY MANY years. I would not buy anything else! We traded in ALL our plastic storage bowls with these sets years ago because I did not/do not feel safe using ANY platic in the microwave (even microwave safe). These sets are glass and I feel safe using them in the microwave. They come in variety of sizes and are our number one use for leftovers and freezer meals as well. It's all we own! Our favorite are the 2 cup bowls with covers becasue we take out lunches to work in them :D

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
