Comments about Pulsar Challenger 1x20 GS Night Vision Monocular:

With the low price on the unit I was concerned abWith the low price on the unit I was concerned about how effective the unit would be. However I had the change to examine a slightly different version from Pulsar and the performance was impressive. The unit arrived very quickly. Initial testing was very encouraging. It appears to be effective out o about 100 yards. The built in illuminator is good for about 20 yards. For the price charged is a good value.out how efective the unit would be. However I had the change to examine a slightly different version from Pulsar and the performance was impressive. The unit arrived very quickly. Initial testing was very encouraging.

Comments about Pulsar Challenger 1x20 GS Night Vision Monocular:

Bought this to mount on a .22 for night shooting. It's Gen. 1 so don't expect to be able to see far outside without an external light, but indoors it's not bad at all. The built-in IR LED is bright enough to navigate on foot with, but has a fairly focused beam so look into an IR flood light if you want your whole field of view to be usable.

There were only a couple of small black spots on the lens, all near the edges, this is better than other Gen. 1 NODs I've seen/used.

Shipping was quick, just a couple of days, and it arrived safely packed. It comes with a soft case that looks a lot like a camera case, but I don't use it since they stay in the case with my rifle.
