    This popper reminds me of the one we had when we were kids. I just recently bought this popper for my mother so she could make popcorn for the grandkids. It leaves no kernel unpopped, but I recommend using a tiny amount of butter flavored popcorn oil when popping. The popcorn by itself is very dry, and when melted butter is added, it becomes soggy and oily - not appetizing at all. Also, sprinkling salt over the bowl of popcorn is not effective, as the popcorn is so dry the salt does not stick. By trial and error, we learned a 1/2 tsp. of butter flavored popcorn oil works the best and it's still healthier than microwave popcorn. Lastly - word to the wise: children love watching the popcorn pop. They think it is very exciting. However, keep their little fingers away, as the popper gets very, very hot. Once unplugged, let the popper cool for at least 5 minutes before an adult handles the unit.

    The design of this popper has remained virtually unchanged since its inception. It's the same in essentials as the one we had growing up in the 80's. We go through periods when we use this appliance every day, and our old one held up for 11yrs. before it pulled a Humpty Dumpty and fell off the top of the fridge. We love to use spray oil and the flavors sold specifically for popcorn; there's a wide assortment, so we never get bored with the flavors. My only beef is that it turns on automatically when it's plugged in, and we use it so often it could stay on the counter all the time. All in all, it's the best popper ever, and its price point is also a plus.

      A quick way to enjoy a bowl of popcorn. It's very easy to use - just plug it in. Easy clean up. Very affordable and priced right. Healthy alternative to microwave popcorn. If you need butter on your popcorn, there is a butter melter holder on top where the machine melts/warms the butter and you pour over the popcorn after it is popped. Majority of all kernals pop. The only negative is there is no on/off button so when the kernals are done popping you need to be there to unplug the machine. I'm very happy with this purchase.

          Popcorn is essential, when settling in for a family night in our home. We've owned several hot air poppers, but this is by far the best. We love it!             I really took my time on searching for a healthy popcorn maker without having to give up on the great taste of popcorn. I add a little crisco spray or pam spray oil when popcorn is in the bowl so it's not to dry and it is fantastic!
