      This was one of the best electric skillets I had ever bought, the 1st one was great until after about a 1-1/2 years the non-stick coating started peeling off and eventually half of the skillet was bare. No way to fix so I bought another one and this time after a year the same thing happened again. This was frustrating to me because the size, capacity, clean-up and temp control was fine, but the peeling of the non-stick coating from both is just not acceptable to me. I will not buy another one or suggest it to a friend.

      I had the weight loss surgery and I like to cook up a large meal and then use leftover for the rest of the week and this skillet is nice to do it in one pan. The glass lid makes it really nice too see how stuff is cooking without lossing the heat from inside.

            Who needs a stove? This does everything i need. I even made no bake cookies in it. i just moved and i dont have a stove yet. but now i am in no hurry,because my presto electric skillet works great for all my cooking needs.

                We used this skillet only 2 times and then returned it to the store. First we used it to simply heat up leftover spagetti. It took a long time to heat the spagetti up (about 45 min), I could have made a new batch by then! Next we tried to fry pork steaks and ended up with a gooey mess b/c it didn't get hot enough. The dial says 400 degrees but it doesn't seem to ever make it there. Also, there is no way to know if your desired temp is ever reached, on previous electric skilets that I have owned the indicator light would go out once it reached the temp you want. I would not reccomend this product to anyone.
