I could tell as soon as I opened it that it was not going to meet out needs. The large crock section holds the water (and quite a bit of it!) between the bottle and the spigot. This leave a lot of water sitting in an earthenware container for a while, but the bigger concern for me was that we would have to COMPLETELY remove the stopper from the water bottles before flipping them over and putting them on. I could foresee major spillage.

I am really enjoying my Ceramic Crock Water Dispenser- Definitely glad to get away from BPA's in all those plastic water bottles and all the health problems they cause (endocrine disruptors). This dispenser looks sharp, no plastic contacting the water and conveniently sits on my counter top.

Because of bad town water we haul drinking water. Before getting this it was a pain to handle the 3 and 5 gallon jugs for pouring. This has made my life a lot easier. Although I won't be growing my muscles anymore!

If you do not want a fancy electric water dispenser, this straightforward dispenser allows you to use either 3- or 5-gallon water containers upside down at room temperature. It is easy to clean, and it looks nice on your kitchen counter too. Only regret: It doesn't come with a separate lid to cover mouth, in case you don't have a new water container on hand, and the empty one is gone.
