What to Look for in a Gas Grill

  • Go with a brand you trust and that’s trusted by others. Weber and Char-Broil have been great choices for generations.
  • Pick a budget. You don’t need a lot of grill to grill a lot of food. Smaller grills are efficient and will heat better with fewer BTUs. Larger grills need more.
  • Natural gas and propane gas are not interchangeable.
  • If you go with propane, be sure to budget for the propane tank (and the propane) if it’s not included.
  • A natural gas grill is more involved to set up (you need to run a gas line to the grill), but cheaper in the long run (and no tank refills).
  • But of course, propane gas grills can be moved, while natural gas grills can’t.
  • Look for cast aluminum and stainless steel construction for long life.
